Crescent City man killed in Oregon crash

A 44-year-old Crescent City man was killed in a one-vehicle accident Tuesday while driving in Josephine County in Oregon.

Rumaldo Salcedo was killed when a Cadillac XT6 he was driving left the roadway and crashed into a tree. Oregon State Police Troopers said Salcedo was attempting to pass another vehicle when the crash happened.

Troopers were called to the scene near milepost 99 on Highway 99 just after 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Illinois Valley Fire Department also responded. Emergency responders were able to get to the vehicle, but Salcedo was pronounced dead at the scene.
