Crescent City, CA (MPG) – As of Saturday, September 25, 2026, the Del Norte Triplicate has its third owner in the last three years. It becomes one of the 20 community newspapers in the Messenger Publishing Group that covers Northern California.
The aim is to keep the Triplicate focused on local news while expanding coverage to the region. We have been able to reclaim the previous telephone number used for many years at (707) 464-2141. The website Triplicate.com is being updated with new features and local news. There are also new payment links provided for legal advertising, subscriptions and display advertising.
Dan and Phyllis should be thanked every time you see them around town for keeping the publication going for the last year. They hit many roadblocks, but they were able to keep it going until the publication could be handed off to a new publisher.
In January of 2026, I also purchased Western Web Inc., the printing company in Samoa that prints the newspaper each week. These together give us an anchor in the region to build up the newspaper and grow it into a true community resource for residents, businesses and tourists coming to the area.
Our plan is to retain the current contributors and writers, expand the distribution, enhance the advertising production quality, and become the number one media resource in the area.
