Face your Giants and Move Forward!
By Tori King John 10:10: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
A giant is anything that stands between you and the promises of God that feels impossible to overcome.
You may be facing a giant you do not know how to defeat. It taunts you and holds you back from moving forward in your life. A giant can be many different things: anxiety, unforgiveness, lust, depression, fear, worry, stress, insecurity, rejection, mental health issues, bitterness, or doubt. There is no limit to the giants that can exist in our lives. The thief is Satan, and he wants to destroy the life God came to give you.
As believers, we come from a whole line of giant killers in the Word of God. David and Joshua were giant killers. Moses was a giant killer. The disciples were also giant killers. Every one of these giant killers knew who their God truly was. These were physical giants that David and Joshua faced, but by faith, they took their giants down.
1 Samuel 17: For forty days, this Philistine champion taunted the armies of Israel day and night. As soon as the Israelite army saw him, they ran away in fright. We do the same thing with our spiritual giants; we do not want to face them. With all authority, David ran after his giant with no physical armor on because he knew who his God was.
Luke 18:27 says, “What is impossible for man is possible with God.” It is time for us to face these giants that have kept us bound and prevented us from being set free in Christ and walking in victory.
Romans 8:37: We have been made more than conquerors, overcomers in this life through Him who loved us. A conqueror watches their hardships get turned around by God to strengthen their character and build their faith. What was meant to destroy you ends up serving God’s purpose for your life. Every day we will face something. The Lord’s voice will remind us, “My daughter or son, this is an area of your life you need to take care of.” It may even be an offense, but every day we will face a taunting giant that reminds us of an area in our life that has not been healed. Let’s receive everything God has for us in Jesus’ name so we can move forward!
