Local trio enhance image of Crescent City

When you think about Crescent City and Del Norte County, what comes to mind?  Bigfoot? The Pacific? The Redwoods? Dan Love, Joe Hanks and Tommy Burley  are looking to bring lots of positives with that very  question. Warrior graduates Tommy, class of ’98, Joe in ’99 and Dan in 2000 hope to export the question and bring more positives to Crescent City. The trio wanted to do something special for this community, but weren’t quite sure what…

Clarity came quickly.

They formed Fog Bank in 2016 and started printing the Fog Bank label on T-shirts,  hoodies, socks, coffee cups,  you name it, Fog Bank will print it. Fog Bank also contracts out to those seeking silkscreen printing.

The business flourished and Fog Bank opened its brick and mortar store in 2020 with the moniker, “Hoodie Season Never Ends.”

“We wanted to do cool stuff, something to be proud of,” said co-partner Joe.

Tommy chimed in, “…not just talking about it, but doing something and we did. I’m really proud of Fog Bank.”

Both agreed the partnership with their customer is everything. Since its founding, Fog Bank has given back $50,000 worth of youth and adult sports sponsorships, educational scholarships and merchandise to Del Norte County.

“When you buy it here, the money stays here in Del Norte County,” said partner Joe.

Fog Bank is planning its next marketing campaign when the JC Basketball tourney (boys and girls) comes to town early next year.

Upcoming December 14, the 12 days of Christmas scavenger hunt begins. Finding the assorted “Big Foot” puzzle nets those who participate big discounts on merchandise. Clues direct scavengers to the not-so- prominent location on the 101 South. We’ll help you find the place.

Fog Bank is located at 275 L St, just in time for the holiday season.
