DNACA announces upcoming local art exhibitions, workshops and community events

On Display August 20, 2026 through October 22, 2026, DNACA’S 35th Annual Juried Multimedia Exhibition at the Crescent City Courthouse. Come see the beautiful artwork of a variety of our local artists.
On display May 14, 2026 through December 10, 2026, DNACA is sponsoring local artist Susan Moore’s extraordinary artwork at College of the Redwoods in the main hallway. Come see her beautiful works during business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
On display July 9, 2026 through October 22, 2026, DNACA is sponsoring local artist Marcia Morgan at the Del Norte County Airport on the second floor mezzanine. “Painting the Music” is full of paintings of musical artists, including Heart, Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead and Mississippi John Hurt. Please stop by and see her beautiful artwork.
October 10, 2026, DNACA presents Soundbath with Oren Saleh from Echoes Within, 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. This will be a guided meditation in a relaxing acoustic soundscape. He will have his curated set of bronze gongs, sound bowl, chimes and flutes. Bring your yoga mats, blankets and pillows for comfort. Chairs will also be provided. Tapestry Arts Center, aka Church of the Nazarene, 224 F. St., Crescent City. This is a free event, but donations are welcomed.
October 17, 2026, DNACA will sponsor a Community Drum Circle instructed by Mombo Hernandez. Hand drums and percussion instruments will be provided, or you can bring your own. All ages welcome. Tapestry Arts Center, aka Church of the Nazarene, 224 F. St., Crescent City, 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. This is a free event, but donations are welcomed.
October 25, 2026, DNACA will present “Introduction to Head Drawing” with Jonathan Gaetke, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. This drawing class is open to ages 12 years or older. This is a free event, but there are only 12 slots available, so you must pre-register. For more information or to register, please go to our website at DNACA.net. Crescent Harbor Art Gallery
Free Life Drawing Group, Mondays at 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., for open sketching and drawing. We take turns posing for 10-15 minute sketches in a relaxed, collaborative setting. These drop in sessions are free with no registration required. 140 Marine Way, Crescent City.
