The Path of Life: Fullness of Joy and Pleasures Forevermore

Jesus is fun and He created you to enjoy life! This generation needs to experience the joy found in the presence of God. “You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at your right hand there are pleasures forevermore” (Ps. 16:11). It is only when we are fulfilled that we can truly give to others, but there are subconscious attitudes that are robbing our generation of the greatest gift we could ever receive that has the potential to impact generations.

Psalm 16:11 reveals three gifts God offers through relationship with Him: guidance for the path of life, fullness of joy in His presence, and lasting pleasures at His right hand. Each gift speaks to a deep need in the human heart and invites us to approach Scripture, prayer, and worship as places of encounter rather than obligation.

God is waiting to show you the path of life. The Bible is your road map, and the Holy Spirit is your teacher. In a world that can seem so meaningless, obedience to God’s Word can bring joy and purpose to every season of your life. When you approach the scriptures as a personal love letter from God to you to instruct on the correct path to reach your destiny, you break the lies that scripture is boring or a chore. It is the living word of God! How much more exciting can you get? Guidance brings peace, but there is more.

In God’s presence there is complete joy. A deep awareness of His love and faithfulness can bring lasting joy regardless of your circumstances. He can bring great joy out of hardship and will never fail you! There will be times when you face difficult emotions, but as you bring them to God and allow His Word and wisdom to guide you, you will experience His miracle working power. His love never fails to lead you back to joy. Negativity and hopelessness are intruders; replace them with focus on His love for you. As Psalm 100:4 reminds us, we are to enter into His gates with thanksgiving. There is a miracle waiting for you that will deepen your relationship with God.

There is a special place of honor that God has for prepared for you-where you belong. The right hand signifies a place of honor, favor, strength, power and the side of kindness and mercy. Pleasures forevermore await you.
