The Storm Approaches with Latter Rain
As I was praying, in the Spirit I saw many people praying, each carrying different needs—family, health, relationships, the church, personal breakthroughs, and burdens as varied as the people themselves. Then I saw storm clouds approaching. When the rain began to fall, some ran from the storm, while others stood with arms open wide and allowed the water to drench them. At first, they were still for a time and then slowly, I saw the expression on their faces change to what looked like an awakening and strength then a smile and then laughter and they danced. Those who had fled watched from their windows. Seeing what happened to the others, some opened their doors and went out into the rain to experience what they saw occurring in the others.
The Spirit of the Lord gave this interpretation: Beloved, this is the latter rain. My people have prayed for My Presence, My help, and My Kingdom to come, yet when it arrives, many do not recognize it. Instead, they run and hide. I have spoken of the “latter rain,” a time that requires unity to understand. Yet My children have never been more divided, as technology widens relational gaps and leaves many feeling empty and isolated. Behold, the rain is coming to awaken, cleanse, and refresh! The storms of life come with a force no one can stop, but your response matters. Just because the answer comes in a way you did not expect does not mean it is not the answer to your prayer. I AM in control of everything. Standing in the rain changes you! Water symbolizes My Spirit. I once used a flood to cleanse the earth and promised never to flood it again. Now, I use the rain. In this season, do not run to natural comfort, or you may miss the supernatural comfort I have for you. Stand courageously in faith in the midst of the storm. Seek My face, and you will see what I have prepared for you. It is all you have asked for—and more. Soon, you will be dancing!
Joel 2:23 speaks of the latter rain, drawn from the Hebrew word malkosh. Prophetically, malkosh points to a final outpouring of the Holy Spirit—an awakening that matures believers and prepares them for God’s harvest.
We are entering into a new season. Nature is bringing about a subtle change in the weather, foliage, smells, but look closer and you will feel something stirring in your spirit. For those with a heart and spirit ready to receive, read Joel chapter 2 for a greater understanding.
