Treasures in Jars of Clay

By Daphne Cortese-Lambert

In a fast-paced and overwhelming world, it is easy to feel overlooked and search for value. Today, I want you to know that you are a treasure! Your life carries more worth and significance than you may realize. If life’s pressures make you feel as though you are about to break, take heart—those very pressures can become the place where hidden treasure is released.

2 Corinthians 4:7-8 reminds us, “We are like common clay jars that carry this glorious treasure within, so that this immeasurable power will be seen as God’s and not ours. Though we experience every kind of pressure, we’re not crushed. At times we don’t know what to do, but quitting is not an option.” I encourage you to see your worth through the eyes of your Savior. A mustard-seed measure of faith has been planted within you for this very season. Nurture it with the Spirit of God and His Word, and you will not be disappointed. Immeasurable power is waiting for those who continue to persevere.

“And I pray that he would unveil within you the unlimited riches of His glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with His divine might and explosive power” (Eph. 3:16). Your struggle can become a place of unveiling. There is treasure within you waiting to be released. Where you feel lacking, God has placed a rich treasury of potential and favor for you to discover. In weakness, He is ready to pour out supernatural strength and guide you through the waiting. This is where maturity grows and character is formed. Your true treasure is not found in the world, but in Christ and in who He says you are (Matt. 6:19).

“Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm has already been lavished on us as a love gift from our wonderful heavenly Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus—all because He sees us wrapped in Christ. This is why we celebrate Him with all our hearts!” (Eph. 1:3). Let that truth settle deeply. “For where your treasure is, there your heart will also be” (Matt. 6:21). Earthly treasures can distract and disappoint, but your true riches are found in your identity in Christ. Abundant spiritual blessings are awaiting you. Read the Bible as a love gift from a Father who cares for you and sees your value. Look beyond your circumstances and discover the treasure He has placed within you. Let the treasure shine from within you to light your world.
