Wonder Stump gets attention in L.A.
Concerns between residents of Wonder Stump Road and Del Norte County officials have reached an audience in the L.A. metropolitan area.
The Los Angeles Times used a story by The Triplicate to focus on tensions between county officials and residents along Wonder Stump Road over possible changes to the redwood-lined avenue just off U.S. Highway 101 north of Crescent City.

Most recently, District 1 Board of Supervisors member Roger Gitlin said Nov. 12 that he continues to get calls about the status of Wonder Stump Road.
“The (Community Development) Department has requested an additional $10,000 in funds for the purposes of engaging the public in stakeholder engagement,” said Gitlin.
“There will be ample opportunity for you, the public, to weigh in on this controversial issue of Wonder Stump Road. You will have your day, and several of them, to let the department and the county to know your feelings.”
