Excerpts from the call logs of the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Department:

Monday, July 20:

  • At 3:11 a.m., a male subject entered the lobby of a building in the 200 block of Highway 101 and asked staff if they would like some drugs.
  • at 10:32 a.m., a report of an illegal burn at Kern Street and McNamara Avenue.
  • At 12:21 p.m., a report of brush fires in the 400 block of M Street.
  • At 2:46 p.m., a dog owner reported a subject pointed a firearm at her dog after bot their dogs started going after each other on Point St. George Drive.
  • At 4:11 p.m., a resident in the 300 block of Dayton Road reported a subject stole a chainsaw sometime last year.
  • At 4:57 p.m., a report of an electrical fire or gas leak in the 2000 block of Old Mill Road.
  • At 4:59 p.m., reports of a male subject who took several items and left a store in the 400 block of M Street.
  • At 8:08 p.m., multiple reports a female subject left a store with several items in the 600 block of Highway 101.
  • At 8:27 p.m., a report of four male subjects physically fighting in the 1300 block of Washington Boulevard.
  • At 9:04 p.m., staff reported a female subject left with store with several beauty items in the 1100 block of 3rd Street.
  • At 9:04 p.m., a report of shots heard in the area of the 1500 block of Pebble Beach Drive.
  • At 9:28 p.m., a resident reported his neighbors are lighting off illegal fireworks at 10th and B streets.
  • At 9:30 p.m., a citizen reported spotting a suspicious vehicle parked at a residence in the 2400 block of Cushing Street she believes is associated with a male she believes attempted to kidnap her several years ago.
  • At 9:52 p.m., a report of a small fire, either a campfire or grass fire, in the area of Kern Street and Murphy Avenue
