No Kid Hungry This Summer

Del Norte Unified School District (DNUSD) is among organizations who will receive over $126,000 from No Kid Hungry, this Summer.

DNUSD was one of nine school districts which will receive the Fedetal grants to make sure kids don’t go hungry this summer.

With schools out for summer, traditional school nutrition and lunch programs are suspended until September.

Rural and poor communities are particularly hit hardest.

Beside DNUSD, other districts and a single community district  include:

• Alta Public Schools

• Coachella Valley Unified School District

• Feeding San Diego

• Gridley Unified School District

• Marysville Joint Unified School District

• Morongo Unified S School District

• Val Verde Unified School District

• Vallecitos School District
