Weather: Hazardous Seas Advisory

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Seas Watch for the coastal waters from Cape Blanco, Orergon to St. George, California in effect from Tuesday morning to Wednesday night.

Seas

Steep to very steep and wind driven seas of 10 to 13 feet.

Winds

North 25 to 30 kt with gusts up to 35 kt.

Areas affected

Very steep and hazardous seas are possible for all areas Tuesday and Wednesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS

A Hazardous Seas Watch is issued when the risk of very steep and hazardous seas has significantly increased, but the specific timing and/or location is still uncertain. It is intended to provide additional lead time for mariners who may wish to consider altering their plans.
