City Releases Housing Application

Applications for units at two newly developed senior housing projects in Crescent City will soon be accepted by the City of Crescent City Housing Authority.

Harbor Point Apartments

Harbor Point Apartments, located at 655 H Street, will be ready for occupancy in mid-October 2025. Harbor Point is a three-story, 26-unit senior housing complex with a fitness area, laundry facilities, and on-site management. To qualify, applicants must be 62 and above with a household income not exceeding 50% of the Area Median Income (at or below $32,900 for a 1-person household, $37,600 for 2-person, and $42,300 for 3-person). Residents at Harbor Point will pay a share of rent equal to 30% of household income, and the remainder will be subsidized by the City of Crescent City Housing Authority (“CCHA”) through Project Based Voucher (“PBV”) assistance. All 26 units at the location will be subsidized by CCHA through PBV assistance.

Applications can be obtained by visiting the CCHA office at 235 H Street or the City website at www.crescentcity.org. Income documentation, government-issued ID, and Social Security cards for all household members will be required at the time of application submission for placement on the waiting list. Applications for Harbor Point PBV assistance will be accepted as of Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 7:30AM at the CCHA office. Any applications for Harbor Point submitted prior to July 9 will be returned. Applications will be placed on the waiting list in order of time/date received and applicants will be referred to Harbor Point property management for consideration of tenancy upon selection from the waiting list.

Battery Point Apartments

Battery Point Apartments, located at 1000 David Street, is a large-scale project which will ultimately offer 40 senior units and 120 family units. The senior units will be ready for occupancy in mid-October 2025. The family units are estimated to be ready for occupancy in late 2026, with a separate waiting list that will be established in the future. Amenities to the property will include a fitness center, laundry facilities, community room/garden, and onsite management. To qualify, applicants must be 62 and above with a household income not exceeding 40% of the Area Median Income (at or below $26,320 for a 1-person household, $30,080 for 2-person, and $33,840 for 3-person). Residents at Battery Point will pay a share of rent equal to 30% of household income, and the remainder will be subsidized by CCHA with PBV assistance. All 40 senior units at Battery Point will be subsidized by CCHA through PBV assistance. 

Applications can be obtained by visiting the CCHA office at 235 H Street or the City website at www.crescentcity.org. Income documentation, government-issued ID, and Social Security cards for all household members will be required at the time of application submission for placement on the waiting list. Applications for Battery Point senior unit PBV assistance will be accepted as of Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 7:30AM at the CCHA office. Any applications for Battery Point submitted prior to July 16 will be returned.  Applications will be placed on the waiting list in order of time/date received and applicants will be referred to Battery Point property management for consideration of tenancy upon selection from the waiting list.
