Sheriff’s Deputies Solve a Quick Burglary

Hat’s off to Del Norte Deputies Sgt. Silas Grigsby and Hannah Brown quickly responded to a burglary at Alexandre Dairy farm, in Ft.Dick.

During the theft investigation, it was learned that two subjects entered the business. Video surveillance of the theft was collected at the scene.  The item stolen was described as a tablet device with GPS tracking capabilities. 

The device was traced to a residence in the 1900  block of Morehead Rd. Sgt.  Grigsby and Deputy Brown responded to the residence and were able to recover the device as well as identify a potential suspect. 

By comparing the name provided, previous booking photographs and the video surveillance, Hunter McWilliams, age unknown, was identified as a suspect. 

It was also learned that McWilliams was on Parole. Using data from McWilliams GPS monitoring device, he was located in Crescent City.

McWilliams was arrested and is currently housed in the jail, 459 PC Burglarly and 3056 P.C Parole violation. The second  subject, later identified as Brian Kenyon, age unknown, was also arrested pursuant to 459 P.C.
