Excerpts from the call logs of the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Department:
Tuesday, Aug. 11:
- At 12:07 a.m., a resident in the 600 block of Macken Avenue reported a male subject was at her property damaging a vehicle and threatening people with a pipe.
- At 1:07 a.m., the same resident reported the male subject returned to cause more damage to the vehicle.
- At 7:41 a.m., a report of a possible vandalism suspect in the area of the 400 block of H Street.
- At 8:45 a.m., a report of a used needle found in the 1000 block of Front Street.
- At 12:51 p.m., a resident in the 2000 block of Howland Hill Road reported her neighbors were physically fighting and yelling they were going to shoot each other.
- At 2:59 p.m., a subject reported the owner of a business in the 300 block of M Street locked her in the building, refusing to let her leave, pushed her and broke her coffee cup.
- At 4:08 p.m., a report of theft in the 600 block of L Street.
- At 6:22 p.m., reports of subject shooting firearms on the south bank of Smith River in Smith River.
- At 11:43 p.m., a report of a small brush fire in the 300 block of Fred Haight Drive in Smith River.
