Glen’s Bakery, the iconic bakery / breakfast restaurant on Third St. in Crescent City has been dark since 2009. After a number of community efforts to bring back the popular downtown bakery, it appears this latest effort by Kevin Findlay, Operations Manager of the Hiouchi Café is heading for success. Findlay has acquired the Glen’s property and after investing $200 000 in new kitchen equipment, booths, tables and new fixtures in the Project, the Sun will rise again with the Rising Tide Bakery and Restaurant.
Cody Magana will be Rising Tide’s chief chef.
Customer hours will be from 7AM-2PM. The plan is to open for dinner after the Grand Opening, planned for late December to mid-January.
