On July 10th, 2025 Shawn Michael Nomura, 42, of Klamath, California took his sons and their wives up Klamath River for a boat ride. Shawn jumped in for a swim and began to struggle. He was later found on July 13th. Shawn’s vibrant spirit, kind heart, and immense creativity touched the lives of all he met, and his loss will be deeply felt throughout every community he called home.
Shawn was the proud owner of Kronos and Nomura Kustoms in Missoula, Montana, where he poured his passion for craftsmanship and artistry into every project. Shawn had a natural talent for creating-whether building custom pieces, painting, drawing, writing, or playing and singing music- came to define much of his life. His artistic gifts were only matched by his generous spirit: he was always ready with a smile, a laugh, and a helping hand for anyone in need. His drive to support others and his passion for making a difference will not be forgotten.
Shawn will take his last boat ride on August 8th at 10am from Requa Boat Ramp. Those who wish to celebrate Shawn’s extraordinary life are invited to join his loved ones in his Celebration of LIfe on August 9th at 100 Terwer Riffle Road in Klamath, Ca at 4pm.
Forever strumming in heaven, Shawn’s infectious laughter, boundless creativity, and loving heart will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him. His spirit lives on in the art he created, the lives he touched, and the music that will never fade from those who remember him.
Born on October 31, 1982, in Los Angeles, Ca to Melissa Tuttle and Robert Nomura. He is survived by his parents, Melissa and Robert, his sister; Erin Nomura, brother in law William Bowers, his devoted wife; Leah Sexty, and his cherished children: Christian ‘Alex’ Radabaugh and Mai, Kiersten and David, Jared Radabaugh, Alisa Sexty-Bray, and Annelise Radabaugh. His enduring love also extends to his surviving grandchildren: Kierlyn, Jaxon, Jayda, and Alainah, his aunts and uncles: Leanna and Jerry Berghagen, Deanna Jackson, Loredana and Scott Spinas, Bobbi Langford, Melony and Bryan Lenover, Andrea Skaggs, Marvin Jones, and Aiko Nomura. Nieces and nephews: Peyton, Bryce, Niko, and Kellen. Grandfather Bob Langford. Cousins; Tawny, Jessica, Nick, Cody, Jamie, Harold, Brandy and Juan, JJ, Michaela, Kelsey, Brianna, Aleesha, Ashlee, Suzie, Emma, and numerous second cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother Kellen Nomura, his beloved daughter, Malarie Radabaugh, grandparents: Vestel and Sherry Skaggs, Yoshio and Eiko Nomura, aunt Louisa, and cousins Clifford and Jake.
