Letter: A true patriot in the grocery checkout line

Dear Editor: This goes to the gentleman who helped me out at Grocery Outlet. I was standing in line with my groceries, getting ready to pay with my brand-new “EBT” card. Just as I was paying for my food, my “EBT” card would not work. After many tries, with a new, fully loaded card, my card would not work.

At this time, a gentleman in line behind me paid for all my groceries. I thanked him and said, “I have money at home and I will pay you back.” He said that was not necessary, because he liked my anti-Trump hoodie.

To this gentleman, I wish to thank him, again, for helping me out. You are a true patriot and great man.
