Mike Greer: Blowing in the Wind
Bonds and Taxes; Blowing in the Wind
Enough is Enough, is the message on Governor Candidate Steve Hilton’s signs that are sprouting up all over the state and in Del Norte County. Will we ever hear the end of the excuses and half-truths of the democrat party, even the democrat socialists party is calling out the hypocrisy of the current democrat leadership. Democrat leadership policy is based only on the fear of President Trump and the success of his policies.
When have you heard about a successful democrat policy from the past, present, or future that had or might have a positive outcome? We need policies that help the working voters not the those that continually suck on the California budget that runs the budget dry.
There are voters out there that feel if they vote democrat, they will get the essentials of an affordable lifestyle. What a crock, rather than offering real economic relief, expanding state handouts has only accelerated inflation and pushed the prices of essential goods and services out of reach for working families. Meanwhile, state leaders blame the federal government for local failures, funneling taxpayer dollars into special interest and political donor projects while actively blocking every attempt to audit state departments and holding spenders accountable.
California's total state and local public sector debt is $1.4 trillion to $1.6 trillion when including bonded debt and unfunded retirement liabilities according to the state treasurer’s department. The total combined bond amount across all statewide California November 2026 propositions is $44.65 billion in initial principal but the exact total tax amount cannot be expressed as a single static figure because it consists of an ongoing annual extension combined with a massive, variable one-time levy.
Together, they are projected to generate $5 billion to $15 billion annually plus tens of billions of dollars in one-time revenue. This is the amount, you, the California worker, and taxpayer will give to the democrat political machine in Sacramento to spend on their special interest and political donor projects.
They reject every effort to audit and hold accountable the management of every department in the state of California. Every Proposition that the Democrats support will take money out of the workers pocket and will not allow the workers to know where the money will be spent or hold the spenders accountable.
Enough is Enough, please democrats, don’t take our hard-earned money from us. Let us keep and spend what we have worked so hard for.
The democrats will keep telling us that it is for the children, for the poor, for the homeless, for the hungry, but it is really for the democrats to keep control of the one-party kingdom and the political serfdom that they currently own. You decide which propositions will cost you money by looking at who endorses them and following the money trail. Vote NO on tax increases.
VOTE, YES on Propositions 39, 41, 42, 43. Don’t be fooled by the names of Propositions because the democrat Attorney General changes them to use confusion, fear, and intimidation to swing the vote away from common sense. Remember the safe schools act that had nothing to do with schools, but allowed criminals to walk freely and ransack the stores? YUP, democrats changed the name to hide the truth. Don’t be fooled again.
