Letter: Don’t ignore other winners at County Fair

Dear Editor: While I am all for promoting the fair, I am amazed your writer could conclude Mr. Crook is the best without checking with the fair staff.  

Two best-of-show ribbons is hardly the best, since I also won two best-of-show in baking.  

However, if you check with the fair staff, you will discover that my wife, Ingrid Garside, submitted over 55 entries between baking and canning, and placed 50 times, including several best-of-show.  

Ingrid is a big promoter of submitting items for the fair, especially by teenagers. I feel she deserves some credit as well.
