Democrats Squash Investigative Journalist
And The Wind Keeps Blowing
In the hallowed halls of the Sacramento power brokers the heavy hammer of the democrat censorship legislature pounds the nails into the coffin of free speech.
Under the deceptive guise of “knowing what’s best for you,” the “Nick Shirley Law” (AB 2624) has emerged as a calculated strike against independent investigative journalists who dare to shine a light on the dark corners of government fraud.
This bill is a weapon handed to powerful special interest groups, allowing them to legally silence the watchdogs who expose their failures by claiming they feel “threatened” by the publication of incriminating videos or documents.
Consider investigative journalist Nick Shirley: Attorney General Bonta only acted on rampant fraud in Los Angeles after Shirley’s footage went viral, forcing the state’s hand to avoid looking like they were protecting criminals.
In a shocking twist, this bill was written by the Attorney General’s own wife, ostensibly to “protect” workers while putting independent journalists in the crosshairs.
Our state Assemblyman Rogers, voted as usual, along party lines to muzzle free speech that points out the democrat failures as he did with the high-speed rail, and non-disclosure contracts for the new legislative building in Sacramento.
As the democrats demonstrate against kings, dictators, and Nazis, they have their own tyrants disguised as state representatives and the governor, as they continue voting to eliminate our constitutional freedoms, rights, and democracy.
This bill expands an existing law by stating that if the non-profit organization feels threatened, they can stop the publishing of videos that show their failures and criminal actions on the internet and then sue the journalist.
This election is about the soul of “The California Dream” which the democrats have taken away from hard working families and their children.
By now you have voted for who you hope has the same values:
Republicans for freedom of speech, the right of choices, parental rights, and accountability;
Libertarians for less government intrusion in their personal life, personal liberty, responsibility, and the opportunity to preserve;
No Party Preference, for the individual who will govern best for your lifestyle;
Democrats for greater government control, highest gas prices, homelessness, electric bills, taxes, and more fraud than Minnesota.
The choice is clear: we can continue under a mandate that tells citizens to “shut up and pay your taxes,” or we can fight for an affordable California where our children and grandchildren can prosper.
We must decide if we want a state where truth is treated as a crime or one where the powerful are held accountable.
