It Costs How Much?

IT COST HOW MUCH?

Every day I keep seeing prices go up and my wallet getting thinner. It cost me $130 to fill up my truck’s gas tank, but I do have a 35-gallon tank.

The cheapest hot dog package of 8 (chicken and processed meat) is around $3.00 with all beef dogs going for $6.00 and up, what an expensive holiday last week was, especially at vendor booths. Insurance, water, sewer, garbage; up, up, and up, what is one to do?

Well get used to it because California democrats just increased our taxes again with the latest budget from Sacramento with less service.

Speaking of less service, have you ever wondered why our DMV office is open only 2 days a week with reduced services? What happened to the workers? Did they get laid off or assigned to other offices or get a shortened week for the same pay? I don’t know, but I never heard of California laying off their workers, unless it is with a big bonus check.

Our health insurance could possibly go up $496 a person because the state will be taxing health insurance companies to make up the deficit in Medi Cal because of the health benefits going to illegal aliens.

The democrats will jump up and down and say that it is because of President Trump, what they will not tell you is that the state overspent the money that was paid by the federal government.

Prop 1 is deceiving; it allows the state to borrow $11.25 BILLON for affordable housing when it has wasted $25 Billion on homelessness housing.

Giving more money to the same people who have nothing but failures on record does not make sense unless you are rewarding campaign donors.

Prop 2 would let the state deposit up to 20% of their revenue into a rainy-day fund and use some of it to pay down the $20 Billion federal unemployment insurance debt that they lost by sending it to prisoners and are now charging businesses to cover their mismanagement and incompetency with taxpayer money.

Prop 3 is a tax law to make a temporary income tax permanent-up to 12% and is not set to expire until 2031. It is sponsored by the teacher unions who want their money now, 6 years before it expires.

I believe that education has deteriorated since the first time it passed and now that the governor has upended the education structure, who wants to put more money on failed programs. But that is what we do in California: reward failure.

Why, as the fourth largest economy in the world and an economic juggernaut, should we have to borrow almost $20 Billion and raise taxes for something we should be able to take care of with existing funds?

The answer must be blowing in the wind.
